§Introduction- 1) He was born on- Talvandi(Now,NankanaSahib), Pakistan.

2) He associated with- Medieval period.

3) Death- Kartarpur(Punjab).

4) Indian spiritual teacher, who was the first guru of Sikkhism.

5) He appointed a successor of Guru Angad.

6) Term "Sikh" means -Disciple.

7) First devotee of Guru Nanak - Bhai Mardana.

8) Sikh name for God- Waheguru.

9)He belonged to Bedi caste & his father was the Patwari of villege.

10) He said that, as long as man is a slave of success, wearing a thread is useless. I want to the thread that connects the human mind with God, he said.

11) His father was very sad about him child future.They engage him for other profession to convert him, like grazing buffaloes on his land. But Nanak used to spend more and more time in meditation.

12) At the age of 14 yrs , his father got him married to focus of Nanak's attention on world. After married he got two-sons.





13) He spend most time with saints - Shrichand & Laxmidas.

14) And at the age of 30yrs, he got self-realization in Sultanpur (River-Bain), when he was bathing.

15) After his self-realization, he started his life of nomadic (Traveller Life).




§Nanak's Journeys§

1) He resigned from his job and initiated a new-one life with travelled in whole country from East-west to North-South.

2) He adviced to lead a Holy Life.

3) He gave advised concerning-free from the bondage of Caste System.

4) Nanak's first journey, after he left Sultanpur.

5) His first visit to Saidpur.

6) His next visit to Talumba (near, Multan).

7) Next visit place to Kurukshetra, on the occasion of Solar eclipse. Here he interact with many people- Saint, Mystic & Bramhimns.

8) Next visit to Haridwar. In Panipat, met with Shekh Sharif. After longtime, he reached in Banarasa. 

9) Next visit to Gorakh Mata (Now, Nanak Mata)  Here he persuied the Jogies or Saints, and they changed their present way of life.

10) Guru Nanak ji also went to - Assam(Kamrupa) in East, where he came in contact with Noorshahi.

12) His next visit to Odisha(Puri). Hereon, he explained the, worship of God's name is many times better than worship of idol of God.

13) His last and fifth journey to Punjab. Again he went to Saidpur and met with his own disciples.




§Gurunanak stay in Kartarpur§
1) He visited many places of Punjab, even he founded the villege of Kartarpur.

2) Hereo, he taught to his disciples to live a - Holy Life.

3) He said, hereon, - "One should early awake, pray the God and then must be busy to their own field."

4) He started Langar, here.




§ Pivotal facts about Guru Nanak Dev Ji§
∆} Guru Nanak, established the Khalsa Panth. Tenth guru Govind completed the work of building pertaining to Khalsa Panth .
