§Introduction:-
∆} Born- 15 Aug, 1872 AD (Kolkata).
∆} Full name - Aurobindo Ghose.
∆} Exam- Passed ICS Exam (1890 AD).
∆} He founded the ashram - Shri Aurobindo Ashram (Puducherry, 1926 AD).
∆} Crucial works- The Life Divine, Aise Aan Geeta, Savitri etc.
∆} Moral philosophies-
1) Soul, Supermind
2) Spiritual Nationalism
∆} His father was a eminent Civil Sergeon in Kolkata.
∆} His education took place in Darjeeling. At the age of 7 he sent to England to study.
∆}He learned various languages like French, German & Italian to understand the original thinking on western philosophy.
∆} After "Bang-Bhang ", Mr Arvind Ghosh left his job & became active in politics.
∆} Death: December, 1950 AD.
§Political Thoughts:-
1) Spiritual Nationalism-
∆} He believed that, Liberation & Independence of India were necessary.
∆} He said that, Nationalism not only political system but also a religion, which has come from God .
2) Thoughts of Humanism-
∆} His nationalism was - Sublime & Broad.
∆} They beleived that, Conflict between different castes & states should be end.
3) Thoughts of Democracy-
∆} He was a fan of democracy system, but was also aware of its shortcomings.
∆} To solve all these problems- Aurobindo said, political power should be decentralised in the system of democracy.
§ Aurobindo's Nationalism:-
∆} He considered that, liberation of motherland not only a political campaign but also a secred religion.
∆} Nationalism is not just a political programme, but also a religion.
∆} He gave spiritual form to Nationalism.
∆} He called, the war against Britishers, Dharma Yuddha.
